This looks nice
Bit steep on the opening bid though?

No heated screen or electric seats, and a claim to be the best example....

The best bits on that are the alloys, towbar and the grey engine cover (very rare they are). All 3 of our safranes have had the silver engine cover.

At that price, I'd buy them just for the headrests IF they actually fitted but they don't. I can't be bothered changing all the electric stuff either unfortunately. I'm pretty happy with the seats in my car and I'm not so lazy as to need electric assistance to adjust my seat. Might buy them and make some office chairs out of them though, especially as the seats are for sale only just down the road from me!! lol

That blue car looks lovely. Worth a grand all day long but sadly, probably won't get it!

I don't think its worth that much at all. Market value for safranes is rock bottom but as bangernomics goes, they're excellent value for the low value / money because they're so reliable. That makes them an excellent buy if you're after a cheap reliable car but a bit expensive for running (group 15 - up there with Lotus and Range Rovers).

Still, the markets loss is our gain ;)

You're probably right that £1000 is a lot to pay for one these days. But for a mint Safrane that would give anybody a good few years of reliable service, a grand is a stupidly insignificant amount. My brother has just paid £17k for a Clio! The leather upgrade for the interior would cost more than the Safrane. It's all about perspective. Really, a grand is stupid money for so much car. As you say, it's our gain though!! Not sure why the insurance is so high.

This is nice, shame about the slight body issues but seems straight enough, long MOT/TAX.

This shows some of the classic Safrane faults...

This seems a nice car for the money, very cheap motoring if it lasts until the MOT/TAX expire, which i should think it will.
