Its difficult to say how much they actually move,i would guess the backrests around 3-4 inches, and the base about the same, doesn,t sound much but it does make a difference and being a 50/50 split they move on each side as you want, its a very nice toy to have. |

I'd say less than that.. I'd say the backs (at the top) move 2-3 inches (you can see one full forward and one fully back in my pics) and the bottom about an 1 - 1.5 inches. It's not much but as V6 says, it does make a big difference. They are very cool, I'd been on the prowl for them for a long time and found a rotten set in a ph1 v6 in my local scrappy. I ignored them for over a year until a safrane friend came over (the guy who made the "My safrane on ebay" video on youtube) and he reckoned they could be salvaged. Dripping wet, we ripped them out and got them back here. Rupped off the covers and the metal was okish.. quite a bit of rust but salvagable with some TLC. Unfortunately whilst they were all apart in pieces, I lost a couple of bits from those frames and couldn't finish it. The video guys 2L safrane crucified its engine via the aux belt snapping and he very kindly offered me his that he had retro fitted. Took me a while to do it as I didn't have the nerve to do the leather cover swap (the leathers you see in the pic are mine and pretty much like new including smell after 14 years) so the project stalled half way through last summer. This year I've finally found a technique to get the covers off with minimal damage so decided to get it done. It must be said, they are absolutely WICKED! Shame the car is dead lol. I'll get it sorted somehow one day.. I think I've just ruled out an autobox fault.. |
